I chose to name this brand after my late brother, Jay[bird]. He was given one of those nicknames that just kinda stuck with him throughout his whole 35 years of life. His birth name was Patrick Jay, shortened to Jay, and quickly became Jay bird. We lost him in a car accident back in February of 2010. We weren’t just siblings, we were best buds. I always looked up to and wanted to be like him. He was almost 10 years older, so in my eyes he was everything. He definitely was my hero! I knew I wanted to have him with me on this journey and how better to do that than by honoring his memory in the title. I chose joyful because God has shown me (throughout numerous tests & trials) that no matter what you are going through in life, if you put Christ at the center of it, you can remain joyful no matter the circumstance. The joy of the Lord is our strength.
